Indie Demo Day: Meet the Brands

We are approaching MLK Jr. Weekend and your equipment could use a day off. Hang it up and come on over for Indie Demo Day to test out high-quality goods from the following top independent ski and snowboard brands.

Take a moment to get to know them:

Our roots are deep and they are East Coast roots. We have become Teton skiers, British Columbia skiers, and Sierra skiers, but we will always be East Coast at the core. No matter how miserable the conditions, we praise them. Because we believe that any day skiing is the best day. We are, and have been, racers and park rats, big mountain freeskiers and backcountry powder hounds. We ski deep powder snow and untracked lines whenever and wherever we can. But we also ski on blue ice. We ski in the sleet and the rain. We ski in the bitter cold and the sloppy heat of spring.

Parlor began among three friends in an abandoned funeral parlor in Cambridge, MA. Over years and many late nights honing the science and art of ski building, fueled by desire, beverages, and the most delicious pizza in all of Boston, Parlor Skis was born. After designing and building three models considered worthy by three dried-up ski racers, we sold an initial run of 25 custom pairs and never looked back. We are now the largest ski manufacturer in New England, and proud to be among a growing industry of ski builders and artisans across New England and the United States.

Liberty is a company dedicated to the mountains and to the skiers who seek them out.  We have skiers from every background working here in Avon, CO, but we all share the same commitment to crafting exceptional products to make any ski experience better.  Whether we started as snowboarders, escaped the corporate world, grew up ski racing, or knew the ski industry is where we were destined to work, we all add something valuable to the way Liberty makes skis and does business.

After working as an engineer for a few years out of state, I decided I wanted to start a new journey.  I was drawn back to my home state of Maine so I could get closer to the skiing community I grew up in.  The northeast skiing community is accustomed to skiing some of the most rugged conditions available.  I wanted to create a ski tailored to these conditions.

Never Summer’s reputation of quality and durability began in the early years of snowboarding… The end result of our experience coupled with a close working relationship with the world’s leading raw materials manufacturers and engineers allows us to bring you the most durable, high performance boards on the planet! Each board is carefully handcrafted in our Denver, Colorado factory to precision tolerances. Our domestic manufacturing and our ability to improve upon existing technologies resulted in Never Summer being awarded the first patent on any type of hybrid camber technology. We allow only the world’s best snowboard shops to sell our products.
