December 13, 2017 in After Hours - 1 Comment

In case you hadn’t heard, ski bum is not synonymous with filthy rich. When it comes to enjoying all of the amazing bars and restaurants in any ski town, cashing in on the best deals is a science perfected by the locals. It all comes down to when and where. On any given non-holiday week in winter, you’ll find these discounts in the Sunday River region. (Disclaimer: These are what we know of at the time; restaurants and their deals my change.)

All Week Long

Taps & Apps at the Millbrook Tavern, located at the Bethel Inn, offers half-price appetizers and $2 draft beers from 3-5 p.m. Joining a mug club is also a great way to save on liquid courage.

Head to Cho Sun Authentic Korean and Japanese Restaurant for Industry Night, which includes half-price sushi and karaoke after 8 p.m. If sushi isn’t your scene, Rooster’s Roadhouse, offers 75¢ wings and $1 off draft beers in the pub after 4 p.m. As for the devoted brunch crew, Mountain View at Trail’s End has a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The best part? All you can eat for $19.95 and a Bloody Mary bar with the first one only $1.

Also known as pizza night, choose between a $5 one-topping pizza at Suds Pub, or Deep and Cheap at the Matterhorn Ski Bar, which features discounted pizza, appetizers, select entrees, and drink specials, or a $5 one-topping pizza at the Millbrook Tavern. Not up for pizza? Trail’s End T-Bar is offering two tacos for $5 and 2 for 1 margaritas and Rooster’s Roadhouse is offering $5 bar burgers and $2 off menu price for specialty burgers.

To start things off, head to Rooster’s Roadhouse for half-price appetizers and $1 off wine and draft beers for mug club members after 4 p.m. After that head to the Millbrook Tavern for $5 burgers and fries. If you’re in the mood for Italian, Trail’s End T- Bar offers $5 lasagna and $4 glasses of wine. Want to make this a date night? Cho Sun is offering dinner for two with two appetizers, two entrees and a dessert for $55.

And if you’re part of the Bud Light Local’s Challenge you’ll get a free meal at a local establishment on 11 Wednesdays throughout the winter!

If Thirsty Thursday is your jam, head to Kowloon Village for specials on Polynesian drinks and bottled beer to sip with your Chinese food after 4:30 p.m. But, if thrifty Thursday is more your speed, Trail’s End is offering prime rib cuts for $9.99 and $15.99 at the Mountain View and 2 for 1 apps and $3 shots at the T-Bar. If you missed pizza night, Rooster’s will be slinging $5 one topping flatbread pizzas in the pub after 4 p.m.
