That’s right everyone. Sunday River’s Troy Murphy is heading to the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

The Bethel native and Gould Academy grad sealed the deal after his final competition at Mount Tremblant.

In his rookie season on the World Cup in 2014, Murphy won the FIS Rookie of the Year award and claimed four top-10 finishes in 2015. In his 2017 season, Murphy had six top-10 finishes and a sixth in the world ranking.

If you want to watch Troy in action? Olympic qualifiers will be held on Friday, Feb. 9. Round two and the finals will be the morning of Monday, Feb. 12, all of which you can tune in to online.

To celebrate Troy’s Olympic accomplishment, Sunday River will be offering $23 Mogul Monday lift tickets to ski that day, which you can purchase here.
