Preview: Spring Apres Concert Series

In its third year, the Spring Apres Concert Series presented by Bud Light is channeling homegrown vibes with local Maine and New Hampshire artists for three free slopeside concerts on March 18 and 25, and April 8. In addition to live music from 2-6PM, varying from rock to reggae and funk, each show will have an outdoor barbecue, bar, and family-friendly activities.

Saturday, March 18: Homegrown Rock

First up is Graffiti of Bethel, Maine, from 2-4PM, who turn the stage into a time machine with their classic rock sound.

Gunther Brown, a five-piece Americana rock band influenced by Blue Rodeo, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, R.E.M., and more, with a sound you won’t want to miss from 4-6PM.

Saturday, March 25: Homegrown Reggae

Zeme Libre of Portland, Maine, will kick off the festivities from 2-4PM. They boast a high-energy blend of Afrobeat, reggae, ska, and funk in their set list. They’ve even toured with such acts as Michael Franti and Spearhead, Wyclef Jean, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the Wailers, and more.

Jordan Kaulback, co-frontman of Blu Kwantsu in Harrison, Maine, will be closing out this show from 4-6PM. This four-piece band blends rock and reggae for an upbeat sound.

Saturday, April 8: Homegrown Funk

The third and final show will begin with music from Hambone of Hallowell, Maine from 2-3PM. This energetic seven-piece soul jam band is known for combining blues, rock, funk, and hip-hop.

From 3-6PM, Harsh Armadillo of Portsmouth, New Hampshire wraps up the Spring Apres Concert Series! This nine-piece steamroller promises to move your feet for you with their combination of funk and hip-hop.

Be sure to bring your dancing shoes (which very well may be your ski or snowboard boots) and get out there to enjoy the sunshine and live entertainment!
