‘Tis the season- Mug Club season

Ski season is here and we all know what that means- mug season. Around here, choosing your mug, more specifically where you drink your mug from is an important decision. Some want their mugs close to the mountain, others want it closer to home. Whether you are a weekend warrior or local, we want you to have the lowdown on your Mug Club options.

Known for its stunning views and ski-in/ski-out premier is the perfect pitstop for an afternoon beer before getting your last few runs of the day in. The winter-only Barker Mug Club goes on a waitlist each year, so give them a call soon to get your name on the list.

  • Members receive 20oz drinks in a special mug for the price of a 16oz drink.
  • $75 for new members, including the mug and Barker Mug Club hoodie
  • $55 to renew, including 2017/2018 Barker Mug Club t-shirt and last year’s mug to take home.
  • $5 from each membership is donated to the Sunday River Community Fund.
  • Entry into three parties throughout the season.


Just across the street from South Ridge Lodge, The Mountain View recently joined the Mug Club.

  • $50 for basic Mug Club membership, including mug and Mountain View Mug Club t-shirt
  • $200 for premier Mug Club membership, including meg, Mountain View Mug Club t-shirt, and access to exclusive parking during ski days
  • Entry into mug club events throughout the season
  • $3 per mug on Budweiser



A Sunday River favorite, the Matterhorn is a popular option for locals and weekend warriors.

  • $50 for a year-long membership, including mug and Mug Club t-shirt
  • 10% off all food when dining-in.
  • Free entry to Saturday concerts
  • A Mug Club party at the end of the year
  • A Kick-Back Rewards Card where you earn money back for every $200 spend. Your rewards card also makes you eligible for other prizes like food and swag.


Looking for a spot to watch Sunday Night Football? Or some great chili nachos to pair with your IPA? Sunday River Brewing Company is the place to be.

  • $45 for a year-long membership, including mug and Mug Club t-shirt

Only a hop, skip and jump away from Sunday River and downtown Bethel, Rooster’s is a great in-between option.

My personal favorite, Sud’s is located in the basement of The Sudbury Inn. The charming bar is decked with ski paraphernalia from mountains nearby and a beer list that will have you planning your next visit.

  • $70 for a year-long membership, including 20oz mug and t-shirt
  • $40 for recurring members
